Lake Texana State Park

This park is one of our favorites, it takes 3 hours to get here but once you are there is so peacefully if you like camping by the lake, or by the play ground. If you need to be alone camp in the water only area where no one else camp. In the summer when is hot we like camping by the lake there is no gators on the left side where it looks like a beach area, and we can take the kayak and the kids can get on and jump off they really love it. Me I like just my boogie board and watch them the water is not the clearest but so far we have not found anything that will scare us away. In the fall we like to camp by the park we can watch the kids go to the park. The trails are great here I like running and yes in the summer there are a lot of mosquitoes but in the fall if feels good to run in the trails or the road they are in great shape and there are so many deer to watch in the morning. There bathroom are so well taking care of, they do get the best park host and they really do a great job keeping the park clean of trash and bathroom ready for the next person to take a shower. The nature center is run by Ranger Cindy and she is great she really knows her stuff anything you need to know she will help you and if you ever go there stop by and learn something from her the park is great for bike rides the fishing is has not been so good to us so far I have been the only one to catch one and it was a little one we have seen gators here so lets see
Park: Great for RVs Pop-ups and tents
Bathrooms: Very Clean (always thank the park host for it)
Trails: Great for running bike rides or just to do some walking
Things to do: Camp, bike, fish, run/walk, swim, kayaking, learn something at the nature center and most of all have a great time.
